The Obama Administration’s irretrievable collapse into feckless incompetence and weakness punctuates 100 years of failed Progressive domestic and foreign policy in America. What began in the early 1900’s as a noble battle over reform of the electoral process, women’s suffrage, modest Social Security, government inspection of food, and the improvement of wages and working conditions, especially for women and children, has devolved into a self-loathing, America-hating, neoliberal movement waving the banner of illegal immigration, increased national debt, bloated public employee unions, divisive, race-conscious politics, neutering our Armed Forces, a failed war on poverty that has left over half of America receiving government assistance of some sort, the obliteration of the American Black family, and the doubling of the national debt in the process.

Progressive foreign policy has been an utter disaster. While Putin plays chess, Obama plays marbles. Obama’s foreign policy - the sum total of which seems to be a soaring speeches and a pandering, xenocentric pronunciation of the words “Pakistan” and “Taliban” by our president – has damaged America’s relationship with countless nations, from Afghanistan and Iraq to Russia and China, from Turkey, Jordan and Pakistan to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea to India and Australia, from Honduras to Brazil, from Poland and the Czech Republic to Germany, Great Britain, Canada and the list goes on.  We have a president and Secretary of State who are still baffled by the fact that bullies still exist in the world and that one country will invade another country in the 21st Century, just as they have from the beginning of time. They seem baffled that stern talk, and counting to three over and over, doesn’t magically cause aggressive despots to hold their hands and apologize.

To the rest of the world, as brilliantly observed by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister recently, our president, and by extension, America is just a harmless “prankster”, pointing at Russian and bleating over and over how it has violated its international obligations. The “crude and uncivilized” Putin runs circles around our president, over nuclear weapons, asylum to Edward Snowden, convincing Obama to undercut our allies in Poland and the Czech Republic, our ties with Egypt, supporting the murderous Syrian regime and urging us to ignore the “red line” Obama has drawn and redrawn and finally ignored altogether, and finally by invading Crimea. When Putin invades the rest of Ukraine, as he surely will, our president will dust off his unearned Nobel Peace Prize and play his 150th round of golf in Hawaii. None of this would be happening if Ronald Reagan were in the Oval Office.

Progressive economic policies have failed everywhere they have been tried. So why should it surprise anybody that they have failed under Obama? In 2014, on this president’s watch, China will surpass the U.S. as the world’s largest economy. And he couldn’t be happier about it. America is being put in its place. Yet, Obama’s foreign policy failures are proving his harshest critics right. In October of 2007, candidate Barack Obama first vowed to take on “conventional” foreign policy thinking in Washington.

“It’s easy to be cynical,” Obama said. “When it comes to our foreign policy, you get it from all sides.” The following year he said that “one of the enemies we have to fight [is] not just terrorists, it’s not just Hezbollah, it’s not just Hamas — it’s also cynicism.” But the cynics have been proven right – just in the last two months alone, Obama’s feckless dithering has emasculated the mightiest country known to man.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuses to negotiate with a unified Palestinian government that includes both moderate Fatah and radical Gaza-based Hamas, which means that Middle East peace is dead for the remainder of Obama’s presidency.

Like a scene from “Sesame Street”, former Secretary-of-State Hillary Clinton produced some sort of a cartoonish “reset button” for Vladimir Putin to push, symbolizing a “do-over” in U.S.- Russian relations which clearly has become the butt of jokes in Moscow, which promptly invaded Crimea.

The graveyard of Obama’s foreign policy wreckage is crowded. The betrayal of allies, especially in Central Europe, not to mention Israel; the complete failure to achieve a status of forces agreement (SOFA) in Iraq that would help to keep Iraq out of the Iranian orbit; the muddled approach to Afghanistan, where the Taliban (pronounced “Tollybon” by our pandering commander-in-chief); our complete mishandling of the Iranian nuclear weapons threat, which continues to mount, huge policy gaffes in Libya; the entire Benghazi disaster; as well as the presidential “red line” drawn in the Arab sand by our Peace Prize-winning president, which Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has repeatedly jumped across. President Obama has said that he was elected to end wars, not to start them, as if wars are fought for their own purpose. Ending wars is no virtue if the chance for success has been lost and the gains Americans died for are lost, as they have been in Iraq.

Obama’s weakness is a welcome mat for those who wish to harm America. Winston Churchill described former Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin’s foreign policy as Hitler gained strength in Europe much as he would today’s Barack Obama foreign policy:  “Decided only to be undecided, resolved to irresolute, adamant for drift, solid for fluidity, all-powerful to be impotent." In the end, the statesman said it would have been better had Baldwin never lived. History may have a similar epithet for the Obama Administration.

The Obama Administration and its Lurch-like Secretary-of-State keep using Stanley Baldwin-like words to combat Russia’s “incredible act of aggression.”  "You just don't in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pre-text," Kerry told the CBS program "Face the Nation.” Never mind the fact that ours is, and always will be, a world governed by the aggressive use of force. Every country on the planet was formed by taking over somebody else’s land or country. But leave it to Progressivism to change ten thousand years of human history and behavior by making a few speeches. Listen to the tough talk from the White House.

·        "The hope of the United States and everybody in the world is not to see this escalate into a military confrontation. That will not serve the world well, and I think everybody understands that."

·        “You just don't in the 21st century behave in 19th century fashion by invading another country on completely trumped up pre-text.”

·        "It's an incredible act of aggression. It is really a stunning, willful choice by President Putin to invade another country.

·        Russia is in violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine. Russia is in violation of its international obligations.”

·        "American businesses may well want to start thinking twice about whether they want to do business with a country that behaves like this."

·        "There are very serious repercussions that can flow out of this. There are (sic) a broad array of options that are available, not just to the United States but to our allies.”

·         "We want a peaceful resolution through the normal processes of international relations."

Wow! That’ll teach them. But none of this feckless diplomatic pandering should come as a surprise if we understand that the speaker is someone who has long wanted “imperialistic” America to find themselves in a position of weakness. Lest we forget, it was a Columbia classmate of Obama’s, Wayne Root, who pointed out that Obama was in the group of America-hating, Marxists, who, along with the majorities of liberals there, were hell-bent on destroying capitalism and vaporizing “the white power structure.” Most of Pollyanna America refuses to see the evil residing behind the smoke screen of “good intentions” laid down by Progressivism and its henchmen.

Obama’s Progressivism has neutered and pampered our children, emasculated our men, and androgenized our women, slowly evolving the human race into some sort of pale, troglofaunaul humanoid creature resembling the Morlocks from H.G. Wells’ “The Time Machine.” America is being passed over by other countries who laugh at our obsession with silly politically correctness and widespread Progressive lies, deception, and sleight-of-hand.

While they publicly state that their mission is to save the world from prejudice, patriotism, racism, greed, and inequality, Progressives are, in fact, hostile and resentful towards anyone who has achieved self-made success through traditional American values.  It is in this cesspool of intolerance, speech codes, and political correctness that Obama and his Marxist “mentors” hatched their plan to destroy our country. Far too many under-informed and/or brain-washed Americans merely stand behind the yellow crime scene tape like gawkers at an accident scene, chomping on Chicken McNuggets and forgetting completely the immortal quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” The intent behind Progressivism is to tear down America and fundamentally transform it into an unachievable socialist and utopian worldview.

Amazingly, with over $17 trillion in debt and a projected $100 trillion in unfunded future entitlements, and with China predicted to take over as the world’s economic leader by the end of 2014, our president continues to engage in a self-loathing game of liberal patty-cake, content to make mud-pies out of ridiculously specious and contrived Progressive distractions like income inequality, phantom racism, gay marriage, equal pay for women, child obesity, soda taxes, bullying, gun control, man-made global warming, executive compensation, waterboarding of known terrorists, racial quotas, and the like. We continue to fiddle while Rome – and the rest of the world - burns.
