Top 6 Reasons to Exercise

weight-loss, workout, personal training, nutrition, metabolism, less stress, fitness, exercise, burn calories, live longer, reduce health risks, eliminate back pain

I know...I know....you've had a hard time waiting for me to disclose the other 6 reasons you should be exercising.  I thought about breaking the list of 6 into 2 blogs but I had a feeling you might not have been able to handle the suspense, so I'll spare you the agony.  Here are the other 6.

6  MORE REASONS TO EXERCISE

Boost your Immune System.  I'm sure you're aware that we're going into cold and flu season.  Exercise activates your immune system thus leaving you less susceptible to minor viral illnesses, such as colds and flu.

Reduce health risks.  Exercise reduces the risk of so many health conditions that I would need pages to write them all down.  My goal here is not to bore you, so here are just a few; obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, stroke and certain types of cancer.

Live longer.  That's right., if you want to be around to see the grand-kids grow up you better get moving.  People who participate in regular exercise live 4 years longer (on average) than those who don't exercise regularly.

Better sex.  Physical improvements in muscle strength and tone, endurance, body composition and cardiovascular function can all enhance sexual functioning in both men and women.  Plus, physical activity sends more blood to all parts of your body, making you respond more quickly to sexual activity.

Smarter.  Exercise drives more oxygen to feed your brain, making you think quickly and clearly. Learning new physical activities builds new connections between your brain cells and helps clear environmental toxins.

Eliminate Back Pain.  By increasing muscle strength and endurance and improving flexibility and posture, regular exercise helps to prevent back pain.

I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, these reasons will inspire you to either start an exercise program or ramp up your current program.  If you're already exercising regularly then give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy these benefits.
