1A 29-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving after he was stopped for driving east in the west lane in the 8700 block of North Lake Drive at 3 a.m. Jan. 9. His blood alcohol content was 0.21.
2A 43-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she threatened a crossing guard in the 5500 block of West Dean Road at 4 p.m. Dec. 20. The guard said the woman had threatened to beat and kill her. She also said the woman never stopped at the stop sign. The suspect made allegations that the guard disrespected her daughter.
3A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 1 gram of marijuana, driving while suspended and theft at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 1 p.m. Dec. 24. The man admitted the theft of shoes, jewelry and other items valued at more than $500.
4Two Milwaukee sisters, 17 and 19, were arrested for theft and the youngest for carrying a concealed weapon at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:45 p.m. Dec. 29. The two hid items valued at more than $300 including thongs and sweat pants in purses, a stroller and a diaper bag. The girl said she had the knife for protection because she got into a lot of fights.
5A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, hit and run and driving while suspended after hitting trees in the 8000 block of North Sherman Boulevard at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 29. He ran from the accident but was caught a few blocks away. Damage to the tress and car was more than $5,500. His blood alcohol content was 0.12.
6A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance at Sprint, 9124 N. Green Bay Road, at 10 a.m. Dec. 31. The man was having trouble with his phone and demanded a new one and then yelled and screamed profanities at employees.
7A 61-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of a drug pipe and theft at Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road, at 9 p.m. Dec. 31. The man had taken two bottles of liquor valued at $40 saying he just wanted "to have a good time on New Year's Eve." He admitted using the pipe to smoke crack cocaine.
8A 21-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic and battery to a police officer after her roommate called 911 reporting the suspect was threatening her with a knife in the 4300 block of West Dean Road at 11:30 p.m. Dec. 31. The suspect said her roommate collected knives and she only picked one up to protect herself. She resisted arrest trying to punch and kick officers. Later she apologized.
9A 16-year-old Brown Deer girl was mailed a citation for underage drinking after police and North Shore Fire Department were called to an "out of control" girl in the 5400 block of West Silverleaf Lane at 12:15 a.m. Jan. 1. The girl had been at a party in at a Milwaukee hotel on West Good Hope Road. She was highly intoxicated and given medical assistance.
10An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after hitting a tree causing severe damage to his car in the 7900 block of North Lake Drive at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 1. The man, who said he was lost and heading to the 9000 block of North 85th Street, denied drinking and was taken to a hospital for treatment and a blood draw.
11A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for trespassing and theft at Vita Fitness and Physical Therapy, 8677 N. Port Washington Road, at 1 p.m. Jan. 5. The woman had been warned not to return last year after she entered the business, took a shower and left. This time she attempted to shower and took towels, body gel and disinfectant spray valued at $100. She said she didn't like to shower at home because of privacy issues.
12Two snow blowers valued at $1,200 were taken from an unlocked garage in the 1100 block of West Theresa Lane on Dec. 22.
13A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of items valued at more than $1,600 from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 4 p.m. Dec. 23. The woman was seen on video taking purses and putting stolen items into the stolen purses, entering a men's fitting room and leaving the store. She said she came to the store to steal "gifts" for her friends.
14A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for theft of $40 that he took from another boy at Bayshore Mall, 5660 N. Centerpark Way, about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23. The victim said the suspect grabbed the money from him and wouldn't give it back. He also said the boy acted as if he had a gun. The suspect said he had borrowed the money and denied having a gun.
■ Two Milwaukee men, 30 and 48, were arrested Jan. 5 for burglaries in the 4900 block of North Mohawk, the 2100 block of West Brantwood and the 4800 block of North Iroquois avenues that occurred Dec. 24 or 25 and Jan. 2 to 4. Taken were items valued at more than $6,000 including TVs, jewelry and electronics.
15A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and theft of $200 of clothing at The Gap, 401 W. North Shore Drive, at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 24. The man fled the store but was stopped as he drove away.
16A snow blower valued at $900 was taken from an unsecured garage in the 5400 block of N. 24th Street the afternoon of Dec. 26.
17Jewelry and other items value not available were taken from the 7400 block of North Range Line Road during the day Dec. 29.
18A 25-year-old Fredonia man was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test in the 6700 block of North Port Washington Road at 10 p.m. Dec. 29. He was asked about a hit and run in Whitefish Bay - a witness saw the incident - and he said: "Well, I hit a car, but there was no damage" so he left.
19A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 3.7 grams of marijuana and a warrant after he was found slumped over in his truck in the 2100 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 3:15 a.m. Dec. 31. The drug was sitting in the center console.
20Four tires and alloy rims were taken from a 2011 Ford Fusion at Heiser Ford, 1700 W. Silver Spring Drive, between Jan. 1 to 3. The total loss was $3,000.
21A GPS unit valued at $150 was taken from a glove box in a car at the park-and-ride lot, 851 W. Brown Deer Road, before 3 p.m. Jan. 5. A window was broken to gain entry causing about $200 damage.
22A 26-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, driving with a revoked license and a suspended registration and no proof of insurance in the 700 block of West Good Hope Road at 12:15 a.m. Jan. 9. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood draw.
23Signs of attempted entry were reported in the 2300 and 2400 blocks of East Menlo Boulevard on Dec. 31. The attempts might have occurred Dec. 25 to Dec. 30. Entry was not gained.
24A 42-inch TV, jewelry and other items were taken from the 2200 block of East Stratford Court in late December and reported Jan 4. A door was forced open to gain entry.
25A 25-year-old Grafton woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 3. A pipe with marijuana residue was confiscated.
26Items valued at more than $1,500 including two game systems, a laptop computer and digital camera were taken from the 4000 block of North Bartlett Avenue before 5 p.m. Jan. 3. There was sign of forced entry.
27An employee reported the theft of a wallet with $120 cash from an office at Stone Creek Coffee, 4106 North Oakland Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 4.
28Tool boxes with power and hand tools valued at more than $8,000 were reported taken from an underground garage in the 700 block of East Glendale Avenue at 4 p.m. Jan. 6.
29A 30-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for loitering/prowling in the 4700 block of North Berkeley Boulevard at 2 a.m. Jan. 5. The man was seen walking into a yard and urinating behind a tree.
30A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for obstruction after giving a false name and date of birth when he and another Milwaukee man, 36, were cited for soliciting without a permit in the 5000 block of North Hollywood Avenue at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 5. The men were going door to door selling a lawn service. A 45-year-old Milwaukee woman, their driver, was cited for driving while suspended.
31A GPS unit valued at $200 was taken from a car at Whitefish Bay Middle School, 1144 E. Henry Clay Street, during the day Jan. 6.
32A 22-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for drunken driving and felony possession of controlled substances in the 5700 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 8. The woman was in possession of marijuana, Schedule II and IV non-narcotic medicine and amphetamines listed as a Schedule II narcotic. Her BAC was 0.18.
33A 15-year-old Whitefish Bay girl was arrested for disorderly conduct after a relative reported she was "out of control" in the 4800 block of North Idlewild Avenue at 3 p.m. Jan. 8.
34A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving with a prior conviction, driving after revocation, a Mt. Pleasant Police Department warrant and refusal to take a breath test in the 5200 block of North Santa Monica Blvd. at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 9. She was turned over to Mt. Pleasant police.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
• Firefighters responded to 107 calls, 75 emergency medical and 32 fire/rescue, Jan. 3 to 9.
35Firefighters responded to a heat detector activation in the 6800 block of North Bethmaur Lane, Glendale, at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 8. It was determined to be a malfunction, however, the homeowner was advised regarding unsafe conditions in her home where she lived with four children and their grandmother. There were numerous open electrical boxes and light sockets, a basement bedroom had only one exit, rooms upstairs and in the basement and garage were "cluttered with furniture and other debris" blocking easy and safe access. The owner was advised of the dangers of this clutter in case of an emergency. The Health Department was also informed regarding the situation.
