MEQUON

BURGLARY

Construction tools and equipment including an arc welder, gas torch and tanks valued at more than $2,000 were taken from a garage at a home under construction in the 13800 block of North Pine Bluff Road sometime Oct. 4 to 24 and reported Oct. 29. There was no sign of forced entry.

THEFT

An 18-year-old town of Grafton man and a 21-year-old Cedarburg woman were arrested on two counts of theft from motor vehicles, attempted theft from motor vehicles and trespassing at Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road, at 2:22 p.m. Oct. 30. The arrests were made after a student reported money taken from his car and surveillance video showed a man entering and attempting to enter cars while a woman followed in a car. The car's plate was traced and the couple arrested. Both admitted taking items from cars on "numerous occasions" at Homestead, Cedarburg and Grafton high schools.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 19-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving after suspension and bail jumping after a report of a suspicious car at Riebs Lane and County Line Road at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 28. His passengers, two 20-year-old men and a 23-year-old woman, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for possession of marijuana and one of the men also for possession of drug paraphernalia. When police arrived there was a strong odor of marijuana near the car and when a car door opened a large amount of smoke exited the car. Police confiscated a water bong, glass pipes, a grinder and 4 grams of marijuana, some hidden in the woman's underwear.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, with a prior conviction, driving left of center, a warrant and speeding 49 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 10100 block of North Range Line Road at 12:45 a.m. Oct. 27. The woman admitted having something to drink but said that was before work. Her preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.13 and she was taken for a blood draw.

A 47-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for drunken driving, refusal to take a breath test and failure to slow down/change lanes for an emergency vehicle in the 10600 block of North Port Washington Road at 1 a.m. Oct. 28. The woman failed to slow down or change lanes for a squad car stopped on the side of the road. When she was just a few feet from the squad car, she swerved into the left lane missing it by only a few feet. She drove to the 1200 block of West Baldwin Court, got out of her car and went inside. When police arrived she came out and fell over in the garage. The womandenied she'd been drinking, denied almost hitting the squad car and refused to take field sobriety tests. She was taken for a blood draw.

A 42-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving, with four prior convictions, after he was stopped for erratic driving in the 10000 block of West Freistadt Road at 2:40 a.m. Oct. 28. When asked for his license, he handed over a credit card. The man, who failed field sobriety tests, had a preliminary BAC of 0.18 and was taken for a blood draw.

OTHER

A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct for urinating outside in the 12600 block of North Port Washington Road at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 27. A 38-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for driving after suspension and defective brake light.

A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct after getting into an argument over a game of pool at Spanky's Hideaway, 5208 W. County Line Road, at 1:20 a.m. Nov. 1. The man drove off before police arrived.
