MEQUON

THEFT

· A digital media player valued at $250 was taken from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 10900 block of North Cedarburg Road on Aug. 31 or before 7 a.m. Sept. 1.

DRUG POSSESSION

· A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction after giving a false name and a warrant and a 61-year-old Glendale man for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and nonregistration after his car was stopped in the 10700 block of North Cedarburg Road at 9:55 a.m. Sept. 1. The men had a total of 3.5 grams of marijuana in their possession along with pipes with residue.

· Two 19-year-old men from Mequon and Thiensville were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and along with another 19-year-old Mequon man for possession of marijuana in the 9600 block of North Cedarburg Road at 10:50 p.m. Sept. 1. There was an odor of marijuana in the car but the men denied smoking it, at first. A search of the car found marijuana in a side pocket of the front seat, on the floor of the back seat and some in the driver's pocket. Also found were pipes with residue. One man then admitted buying 4 grams of marijuana but gave no further information.

· Three 16-year-old boys of Cedarburg, Grafton and Milwaukee were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after they drove past a squad car and the officer reported a strong odor of cologne coming from the car with an air freshener hanging from the rear-view mirror causing an obstruction in the 10800 block of West Freistadt Road at 8 p.m. Sept. 4. The driver from Cedarburg was asked if anything illegal was in the car and said "Not that I'm aware of," adding that any odor of the drug was a "lingering stench" from the last time he was arrested July 30. Canine officer Vero was called to the scene and hit aggressively in the car and the boys then admitted they had all been smoking the drug. Three bags holding 12.1 grams of marijuana were found along with pipes with residue.
