Concordia proposes pharmacy school; commission wants more parking
Mequon โ The Plan Commission wants more information about parking and lighting but generally favored a proposal for a School of Pharmacy building at Concordia University. The building would be three stories on the west side and two stories on the east side.
The commission and university officials had a consultation on the plan for a 57,000 square-foot building with classrooms, lecture hall and faculty offices. The proposed building would be located in what is now parking lot J on the southeast corner of the campus. The building would be connected to Heidelberg Hall.
The building would mean the loss of 105 parking spaces but the university is planning to create other parking lots around the campus. Assistant Director of Community Development Jac Zader said the commission wants more discussion on parking since members do not believe there would be enough in the immediate vicinity of the building.
Discussion on the plans is expected to continue at a future meeting.
