Brown Deer - Brown Deer Village Manager Russell Van Gompel is one of three finalists for the position of City Manager in Eau Claire, the Chippewa Herald has reported.
Van Gompel and the other two finalists remain from a pool of 49 applicants for the job, which has been open since December 2011.
The Eau Claire City Council plans to announce its selection for City Manager within 30 days after additional interviewing and background screening.
