Mequon and Thiensville police reports

Mequon

BURGLARY

Two generators with a total value of $2,000 were taken from a trailer at Techteriors, 12308 N. Corporate Parkway, prior to 7:49 p.m. Oct. 12. A lock was cut to gain entry.

A video gambling machine valued at $2,000, about $500 in the machine and $200 from a cash register were taken from Howard's Pub & Grille, 5208 W. County Line Road, between 2:30 and 10 a.m. Oct. 19. The machine was found in the 4200 block of West County Line Road emptied of its cash.

THEFT

A 50-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was arrested for theft at Gold's Pick 'n Save, 11300 N. Port Washington Road, at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 13 after taking prescription medication from the purse of another employee. The woman reportedly had taken the medication several times during October.

Twenty-nine boxes of Prilosec valued at $812 was taken from Walgreens, 11270 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:12 p.m. Oct. 14. Police are looking for a suspect seen on a surveillance tape.

A socket wrench and bolt cutters valued at $175 were taken from a van at Northern Environmental, 12075 N. Corporate Parkway, at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Entry was gained by prying out a door lock.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 47-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 3 grams of marijuana in the 9600 block of Interstate 43 at 8:20 p.m. Oct. 19 after being stopped for a registration violation. He also was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle and arrested on an open warrant for contempt of court with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the11100 block of northbound Interstate 43 at 3:05 a.m. Oct. 19 after being stopped for erratic driving. His blood-alcohol content was 0.12. He also was arrested for driving with a suspended license and on an open warrant. A 20-year-old Milwaukee man, a passenger in the car, was cited for underage drinking.

Thiensville

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 21-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving in the 500 block of North Green Bay Road at 2:08 a.m. Oct. 17 after being stopped for driving left of the solid yellow line. His blood-alcohol content was 0.11.

OTHER

An 18-year-old Mequon man and an 18-year-old Mequon woman were cited for underage alcohol consumption in the 300 block of East Freistadt Road at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 12 after the man was stopped for swerving in his lane of traffic. The man's BAC was 0.04; the passenger's, 0.07.

FIRE

A wood deck connected to a home in the 200 block of North Madero Drive was found on fire by an officer on patrol at 12:50 p.m. Oct. 16. Thiensville Fire Department responded to extinguish the fire. It was determined that an electric hot plate plugged into an extension cord to heat up wood chips to be used as a homemade meat smoker shorted out and started the deck on fire. The deck was damaged and the home was ventilated. No one was home at the time of the fire.
