When police arrived, there was a strong odor of marijuana on the porch and also from the home after a boy came outside and quickly closed the door. Several plastic bags of marijuana were found in the home along with pipes and a scale all with marijuana residue.

One of the 17-year-old Mequon boys had removed a screen to gain entry. Inside there was evidence of the use of marijuana and prescription drugs. The teens were all cited and released except for the 17-year-old who was taken into custody because he had been previously warned he was not allowed on the property which he admitted he knew. He posted bond and was released but a few days later was arrested again, this time for bail jumping, after returning to the property.

The man said he was trying to "teach the other driver a lesson" something he has done in the past to drivers who he feels violate the law. A hand gun was also located in the front seat for which he had a valid concealed carry permit, but was taken as evidence. His BAC was 0.17.
