MEQUON

BURGLARY

Items worth over $1,000, including a 50-inch flat screen TV, were taken from a home in the 11700 block of North River Road sometime between Dec. 27 and Jan. 8. The residents called police after receiving a call from a "social worker" who said he was called by someone using the couple's landline while they were away from their home.

THEFT

Three cars were broken into and items taken at the North Shore Cinema, 11700 N. Port Washington Road, at about 10:20 p.m. Jan. 11. The thefts were caught on surveillance video and in each case windows were broken to gain entry, causing at least $200 worth of damage. A backpack with a book and jeans worth $140 was taken from one car, a computer and other items worth $1,740 from another and a laptop and heart rate monitor worth $2,000 from another.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 16-year-old Bayside boy and a 17-year-old Milwaukee boy were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and, along with two other Bayside boys ages 16 and 17, for underage drinking when a suspicious car was reported in the 900 block of West Heritage Court at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 5. The car windows were fogged up but police could see people moving around inside. As one boy exited, he spilled a bottle of champagne in the car. Police found a jar and a plastic bag holding about 2 grams of marijuana along with glass bongs, a scale and air sanitizer. The boys' blood alcohol contents were 0.01 and 0.02.

A 16-year-old Mequon boy was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and tobacco along with littering at Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road, at 6:35 p.m. Jan. 14. One of the boy's relatives called police to report he might be in possession of drugs. The boy, located in the auxiliary gym, denied having drugs or tobacco but later admitted he had both. He also said he had smoked marijuana outside and then threw the drug paraphernalia away. Police located a makeshift pipe with residue and the boy was then also cited for littering.

A 29-year-old Random Lake man was arrested for possession of and driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding after he was reported driving more than 80 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 43 north of Mequon Road at 4:12 p.m. Jan. 15. Canine Officer Vero was called to the scene and hit the car aggressively, where police found 0.2 grams of heroin and a pipe with residue. The man admitted using heroin earlier and was taken for a blood draw.

OTHER

A 20-year-old West Bend woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and warned for lane deviation in the 5000 block of West Mequon Road at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 6. The car smelled of marijuana and a pipe with residue was found under the driver's seat.

Two Milwaukee females ages 17 and 20 were arrested for disorderly conduct and fighting and along with a 17-year-old Brown Deer boy and a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy for trespassing/unauthorized presence at Range Line School, 11036 N. Range Line Road, at 11:35 a.m. Jan. 9. The girls told police they were fighting over a boy.

THIENSVILLE

ASSAULT

A 30-year-old Thiensville woman was arrested for battery and criminal damage to property in the 300 block of North Main Street at 2:40 p.m. Jan. 16. The woman was upset with her boyfriend, broke a large glass table and struck the man in the face several times.

DRUG POSSESSION

An 18-year-old Mequon man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic violation stop in the 700 block of East Freistadt Road at 11:53 a.m. Jan. 18. A BB gun was found in the man's vehicle and held for safekeeping.

OTHER

Three teenagers, an 18-year-old Three Lakes man, a 19-year-old Saukville man and a 17-year-old Saukville girl were arrested for underage drinking after the vehicle in which they were riding was pulled over for nonregistration in the 200 block of Main Street at 2:26 a.m. Jan. 19. The driver, an 18-year-old Saukville man, had not been drinking.
