MEQUON

THEFT

A 54-year-old New Jersey woman was arrested for theft of shirts and slacks valued at $402 from E Street Denim, 11010 N. Port Washington Road, at 1:50 p.m. July 10. The woman had put shirts and pants in her purse but was stopped as she left the store. It was then she offered to pay for the clothing.

Four tires and wheels were removed from one car and lug nuts removed from at least three other cars at Sommer's Pontiac, 7211 W. Mequon Road, on July 10 or 11. In addition, windows on three cars were shattered possibly in an effort to open the trunks to use the jacks to take tires and wheels. Nothing was taken and the amount of damage was not available.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 22-year-old Daytona Beach, Fla., man was arrested for possession of 2 grams of marijuana after campus security called police when they found the man with the drug in a dorm at Concordia University, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, at 12:45 a.m. July 11.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 24-year-old Thiensville man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to have insurance and improper turn in the 11300 block of North Linnwood Lane at 2:20 a.m. July 3. The man, who admitted having too much to drink, had a blood alcohol content of 0.16. A 24-year-old Minnetonka, Minn., man, a passenger, was arrested for obstruction/resisting, a $429 fine, after making an obscene gesture at police when they asked him to exit the car. His BAC was 0.235.

A 39-year-old Port Washington man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, failure to have insurance and failure to dim his lights as he drove past a squad car in the 10800 block of West Donges Bay Road at 1:45 a.m. July 5. When asked if he'd been drinking, the man said, "Yes. It's the Fourth of July." About 2 grams of marijuana was found along with two pipes with residue. The man's BAC was 0.17.

A 26-year-old West Bend man was arrested for drunken driving and unsafe lane deviation while driving well below the speed limit in the 6700 block of West Mequon Road at 2:25 a.m. July 6. His BAC was 0.16.

A 47-year-old Mequon man was arrested for driving while impaired and driving while suspended after a report of a possible drunken driver parked on the grass in a church parking lot in the 13900 block of North Cedarburg Road at 8:55 a.m. July 6. The man failed field sobriety tests, had a preliminary BAC of 0.00 and was taken for a blood draw.

A 20-year-old Germantown man was arrested for driving while impaired and possession of 0.09 grams of marijuana in the 9800 block of West Freistadt Road at 12:50 a.m. July 8. The man, who said he had three or four beers, had a BAC of 0.00 and was taken for a blood draw.

A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle for playing very loud music in the 10900 North Port Washington Road at 2:50 a.m. July 8. His BAC was 0.16. Two 20-year-old Mequon men, passengers, were arrested for underage drinking. Their BACs were 0.05 and 0.14.

OTHER

A 22-year-old Fredonia man was arrested for driving while suspended and warned for speeding in the 2700 block of West Pioneer Road at 12:50 a.m. July 9. A 17-year-old Cedarburg boy, a passenger, was arrested for underage drinking.

No reportable incidents.
