Mequon-Thiensville School District Hall of Inspiration Nominations Now Being Accepted

Feb. 24, 2009

The Mequon-Thiensville School District has extended the nomination period for nominations of inductees into the district’s Hall of Inspiration. This is the third year in which the district has sought nominations from the community to recognize either alumni or past educators from the district who have left a positive impact on the education of children in Mequon and Thiensville.

Past honorees include:

William Johnson

Donald Rennicke

Risa Otto

Merton Campbell

James Barr

Jean & Dennis Schrank

Dona Look & Ken Loeber

The nomination process requests the nominator to complete a very brief application that can be found on the district website: www.mtsd.k12.wi.us, or by calling the school district office at (262) 238-8504.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Demond A. Means, states “The Hall of Inspiration is an opportunity for us as a school community to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of heroic individuals who have shaped the culture of the school district.”

“The Hall of Inspiration is a wonderful celebration of who we are as a district,” according to Demond Means.”

The nomination committee of the Hall of Inspiration will meet in early April to determine which of the nominees from this year’s candidates will be recognized as members of the Class of 2009 Hall of Inspiration inductees.

The induction ceremony for the Hall of Inspiration is scheduled to take place on June 3, 2009.
