Wisconsin WWII Honor Flight Veterans to Hold Reunion at Marcus North Shore Cinema June 13

May 19, 2009

Marcus Theatres today announced that the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, a local chapter of the national organization, Honor Flight, will be hosting a reunion of over 100 Southeast Wisconsin veterans at the newly renovated Marcus Theatres North Shore Cinema in Mequon Saturday, June 13, 2009 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

The Stars and Stripes Honor Flight flies World War II veterans who need assistance to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II memorial at no cost. The Wisconsin veterans attending the reunion recently participated in Southeastern Wisconsin’s Second Honor Flight on April 25, 2009 to Washington D.C. The reunion at North Shore Cinema will be an opportunity for the veterans, as well as their families and friends, to view a documentary video filmed during the recent tour on the big screen.

“Marcus Theatres is honored to host this very special reunion of local veterans at our North Shore Cinema. The Stars and Stripes Honor Flight gives hundreds of veterans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the WWII Memorial and other national monuments as a much-deserved thank you for their extraordinary service. It will be very touching to watch them share this video of their recent trip with friends and family,” said Bruce J. Olson, president of Marcus Theatres.

The reunion will be sponsored by Panera Bread®. Marcus Theatres North Shore Cinema is located at 11700 N. Port Washington Road, Mequon. For more information, please visit
