Christian Conversations: Creation, Evolution and Bioethics
Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Thiensville, presents:
Christian Conversations: Creation, Evolution and Bioethics
This year, people throughout our world are marking the anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species, Charles Darwin’s landmark book that is often considered the beginning of the modern evolutionary theory. This summer, Calvary Lutheran Church is hosting a series of five lectures featuring Dr. Paul Boehlke, professor of biology at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Professor Boehlke will speak on the topics of creation and evolution, discuss Scriptural and scientific answers to the challenges made against Scripture’s teaching of creation, and make applications to the current intelligent design debate as well as questions of bioethics.
The lectures begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evenings from June 30 – July 28, and will be held in the fellowship hall of Calvary’s school (Calvary is located just north of the Weyenberg Library in Thiensville). All are welcome to join the discussions, hear the truths of God’s word, and have their questions answered with integrity.
There is no cost to attend the series, and free babysitting is provided on site. (Please call #262-242-4710 in advance to register for babysitting.)
