Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club Lobster Fest Fund Raiser-Exciting New Features!

Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club will hold their new and improved Lobster Fest, its largest fund raising event on Saturday, August 29th 2009. This year’s event will be upgraded and will move from Mequon Rotary Park and will be catered at Shully’s Cuisine at 146 N. Green Bay Rd. Thiensville 53092, www.shullyscuisine.com (near Rotary Riverwalk) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Shuttles will transport guests from Thiensville Park and Walgreens (278 N. Main) to Shully’s park like entrance off of Elm St. The tickets are $50ea or tables of eight for $400 (includes 2 bottles of wine) will be available for advance purchase on-line at www.mtsunriserotary.org or at Harris Bank in Thiensville or Mequon, Sommer’s Automotive, or other locations listed on the MT website, with “Partner Charities” or with any local Rotary member. We will offer two seating’s to accommodate the 600 guests.

 

The dinner options include Maine Lobster, steak, or organic vegetarian, with full bar, wine and beer available for separate purchase. Come and enjoy the festivities and friendship. The Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club will be partnering with the “Partner Charities” of “Cope Services” www.coperesources.net., “Ozaukee Family Services” www.ozaukeefamilyservices.org., “The Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County” www.1-800-volunteer.org/1800Vol/volunteerozaukee/vcindex.do and “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ozaukee County” www.bigs-ozaukee.org. Those who attend Lobsterfest can participate in a silent auction and take their chance with raffle items, to raise funds for these and several other charities and to help build the new Riverwalk. Those who cannot attend but still want to help can donate on-line at the Rotary club’s web page www.mtsunriserotary.org or to a Rotary member.

 

The silent auction will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:45 pm. Charities besides “Partner Charities” helped by Rotary’s fund raising include, Rotary International Polio Plus, and over a dozen more. Additionally, funds provide support to quality community facilities, a scholarship for career retraining at MATC-Mequon, etc. Through fundraising efforts like Lobsterfest, the Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club helps improve the quality of life in the Mequon-Thiensville area by helping community services with financial and volunteer support here and throughout the world.

Auction donations are welcome. If you have an item or service to donate, please contact any member of our club, or call Gordon Hetzel at 262-238-8837, or send email messages to gordon@mtsunriserotary.org. Rotary will pick up donations, or they may be delivered to any member, or to Industrial Technical Services Co., 10520 North Baehr Road, Suite H, Mequon, WI 53092. Over $30,000 of goods and services will be sold by silent auction or, starting in late July, see our on-line auction catalog in a special section of our website, at www.mtsunriserotary.org for some highlighted items offered.
