Community Awards Ceremony Celebrated
The Mequon-Thiensville Chamber celebrated our community on October 14, 2009 with the Annual "Celebrate your Community" Awards Banquet. It was a great turn out with 161 guests in attendance at Shully's Cuisine. The event offered a silent auction and wine raffle for attendees as well as a fabulous dinner.
The highlight of the event was of course the award winners. Impressions Salon and Spa was the Business of the Year, Shoot The Moon Photography was the Small Business of the Year. Also awarded that evening was the Citizen of the Year, John Treffert and the Distinquished Service was awarded to Ted Egelhoff. The Town Center committee awarded Dr. Gary Lewis the Town Center award.
The Chamber hosts this event to the community to congratulate and thank the award winners for all the service and committment they have expressed to the Mequon-Thiensville community.
The major sponsors of this event where Robert W. Baird, Schmit Ford-Mercury, Sommer's Buick-Pontiac-Subaru, Concordia University and Schmidt & Bartelt. Civic sponsors were Concord Development, DCH Bookkeeping, Lakeside Development, London By Design and Send Out Cards. The Chamber would like to thank these businesses for their continued support, if not for our members we could not put on such a wonderful event.
