"Valentines For Birds" at Sonlight CDC-February 18

Sonlight Child Development Center in Mequon will conduct a free indoor/outdoor nature program, "Valentines For Birds", for children ages 2-5 and their parents on Thursday, February 18 from 9:15am-10:30am.

 

Linda Mordy, Sonlight's "Nature Lady", who is a teacher/naturalist from Riveredge Nature Center, will be helping children make heart-shaped bird treats to take home or place on trees in Sonlight's outdoor nature area. The time spent with the children will also include a story. "Valentines For Birds" helps children discover our earth's beauty while also learning about native birds in our habitat. In the event of inclement weather, all activities will be conducted indoors and the children's crafts can be taken home. A light snack will be provided after the program.

 

Sonlight staff can also provide tours of its' facilities and answer questions about Sonlight's other programs to interested families. To help facilitate the planning of this event and reserve a spot for your child, please contact the Sonlight office, (262) 242-4771 or e-mail info@sonlightcdc.org by February 15. Sonlight Child Development Center is located at 11011 N. Oriole Lane,on the South Side of Mequon Road, approximately a quarter mile west of the Mequon Road and Port Washington Road intersection.
