Mequon Fire and EMS Association Donates $2,500 for New Thermal Imaging Cameras
At the Mequon Common Council meeting on Tuesday March 9th, the Mequon Fire and EMS Association presented a $2,500 check to the City toward the recent purchase of new thermal imaging cameras. These essential life-saving tools help fire fighters locate fire victims trapped in dark, smoke-filled buildings.
Presenting the check was Association President Scott Blanchard. In 2009, the Association held several brat cook-outs and donated proceeds from hosting the annual Badger Fire Fighters’ Association softball tournament.
The Association is also pleased to announce the recent formation of Mequon Fire and EMS Association Charities, a 501(c)3 charitable organization created for the purpose of enhancing firefighter and community safety. The Association’s Charities organization will continue fund-raising efforts to support future public safety projects and other charitable purposes. Members of the community wishing to make donations can contact the Mequon Fire and EMS Association Charities organization at mequonfireorg@yahoo.com or PO Box 665, Mequon, WI 53092.
