Community Bark hosts Grand Opening May 14-15

May 10, 2010

Community Bark, one of the only dog wash and coffee bars in the US, is throwing Grand Opening event at 326 W. Brown Deer Road in Bayside -- just off I-43 and east of Sendik's. The event will kick off at 6:30 am on Friday, May 14 with Free Coffee Friday, with events continuing from 3-6pm on Friday, and 11-4pm on Saturday, May 15.

Doggone Fun!

The Grand Opening will feature:

• an adoption fair with the Wisconsin Humane Society and several local rescues

• therapy dog screenings with Health Heelers

• pet photography with All Ears Photography

• grooming demonstrations with Community Bark’s professional groomers

• local pet supply vendors, and dog advocacy organizations.

• activities for kids and doggy contests

• giveaways and prizes!

Helping dogs in need

At the Grand Opening, Community Bark is launching a tremendous program to benefit the Wisconsin and Ozaukee Humane Societies, as well as dog rescue groups.

Effective May 16, Community Bark will be providing complimentary SelfBark dog washes for all newly adopted dogs from WHS, OHS and local rescues. In addition, it will offer a 50% discount on baths for dogs being fostered with rescue groups.

Anne Reed, Executive Director of the Wisconsin and Ozaukee Humane Societies, commented, “We are grateful for the generosity of Community Bark. This support truly helps to create a community that treats animals with respect and kindness.”

A new coffee experience!

A key element of Community Bark is the Barker Lounge, where customers sip Alterra coffee while hanging out with their dogs. What community members may not know about is the dog-free grab ‘n go coffee bar right next store. At the grand opening event, Community Bark will be launching our new blend of Alterra coffee, to be named by a Community Bark customer. To celebrate this launch, they will be having a Free Coffee Friday from 6:30AM on Friday May 14, with complimentary brewed coffee and great discounts on other drinks!
