Meet Wave players Saturday at Sendik's

Provide a happy birthday for a needy child by contributing to a “Birthday Party in a Bag” at the Mequon Sendik’s Food Market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. You can meet Wave players, and also earn the chance to participate in a private autograph session with a Wave player following the March 7 game!

Purchase cake mix, frosting, sprinkles or cake candles, which will be combined with other fun party items supplied by the Wave. It will all be placed in a red Sendik’s Food Markets bag and distributed to local food pantries.

Wave players will be in the baking aisle, signing autographs and encouraging fans to pick up one or more of the needed items. After you check out, leave them at the drop area outside and they’ll be delivered to the March 7 game.

Or bring your item to the March 7 game, when the Wave host the Rockford Rampage at 2 p.m. It’s the 18th annual Mascot Game, presented by the National MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter. Items will be collected just after you enter the U.S. Cellular Arena.

No matter where you contribute, you’ll receive a voucher to participate in a private autograph session with a Wave player to be named. Please note you also will need a game ticket, available through Ticketmaster or by calling the Wave office at 414-224-9283. For more information on Birthday in a Bag, contact the Milwaukee Wave of Hope at 262-746-9159.
